• Ripcord

    Designing enterprise content management systems.

  • Timeline

    May 2020 — March 2021

  • Context

Ripcord uses vision-guided robots to scan our customers' paper documents and create digital twins that we upload to our own content management system.

  • Role

I was a product designer on the revenue generation team where I designed our ad-hoc white label customer feature requests.

Select Projects

Retention Policies

Our customers in the finance space requested a robust UI to add in conditional logic for when to dispose or retain their documents.

In order to support features beyond just retention and disposition policies, the then statement of the design was made to be extendable.

Advanced Filtering

Initially, our document filtering system wasn’t very robust. In order to search for a document, you had to specify the exact metadata associated with the file you were looking for.

Here, I added in support for conditional logic (equals, not equals, contains) and a simplified syntax to support boolean logic (and/or) between statements.

Bulk Editing

In order to improve the document metadata editing user experience, we decided to support bulk editing functionalities.

An interesting design challenge here was to come up with a solution to make a consistent user interface for when you add and remove tags in bulk.

Shipment Tracking

With paper digitalization being the core of our business, we needed to add in support for the user to be able to track all of their various shipments.

Here, users are able to track shipments as they get completed on the box, shipment, and order levels. We also added support for filtering through the boxes.
